“ The first thing to notice is the incredible art on the walls and then the cozy furniture. After we got our food we thought it wasn’t going to be enough (coming from an American of course) but the bread was so hearty and whole that we almost couldn’t finish it. I love how they make everything from scratch and most of it comes directly from their farm. The bread made from Ramon seeds was probably the best I’ve ever eaten. The tahini latte was very different from anything I have tried, a tiny bit of saltiness that I wasn’t expecting, but with some of their honey it was absolutely divine. My friend had the pancakes and said they were so good he couldn’t believe they were healthy. I am sad I didn’t go until my last day in Valladolid because I already want to taste the amazing bread again ”

“ A cute and tiny vegan cafe with organic taste and relaxing atmosphere. Located in the Sisal neighborhood and displaying the beautiful Valladolid letters. We tried their halva milk which had a slightly nutty taste but delicious. We ate a light breakfast consisting of pancakes and seasonal fruit which was perfect to fuel our day. ”
“ My wife and I stopped by Elela as we were driving to Campeche from Cancun. We were looking for a filling vegan meal after our flight and, boy, was this it! We had the vegan tortilla espanola and the rajas tacos. The dishes were filling and very flavorful. The restaurant itself is a cozy vegan cafe offering fresh and organic meals. The young lady who tended to us explained that the owner and staff wish to provide the community with a healthier way of eating focused on fresh and local ingredients. She also shared some history about Valladolid and the Guerra de Castas or War of the Castes and how the political turmoil in Valladolid was the spark of the Mexican Revolution. Needless to say, the staff is friendly and knowledgable, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the establishment is a vegan oasis. Note: it's cash-only. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious, healthy food! ”
“ Food is excellent. Service is super friendly. Views of the square are beautiful. However...BEWARE of the girl Agni selling her Mayan Gods Cacao products. She will rudely shame you if you do not buy from her and even approached me outside the restaurant and put her hands on me acting as a victim because I did not want to hear her sales pitch. We had just finished a beautiful 3 day trip and this was a very uncomfortable situation that I hope others will not experience when visiting Elela, such a lovely Vegan Cafe. The tacos and truffle were our favorite. ”
